About the Artist

Jessica Dorizac is an early career visual artist born in Brisbane, Australia, whose work is currently informed by historical and urban decorative patterns and ornaments, especially those found, in the architecture in the Philippines. Employing collage and assemblage, Dorizac creates works that borrow aesthetics from the processes of organization found in mood boards, ornamental designs throughout history and various cultures, and modern Philippine provincial housing.

Dorizac is currently living and working in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines, with her husband and eight dogs at the Fruit Juice Factory, under the guidance of Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan.
