Dear loves,
As you know, we are now exactly six months locked in quarantine (crazy, right?) and our operations have stopped for two full months and we have recently reopened. In this time of uncertainties, we need to adapt to be able to survive. But that doesn't mean we are changing our values and quality of service. With The Den Online Café, we want to give you the full experience of what we do well—food, lifestyle, art + culture, and community. Here are some of the new ways to experience The Den in this form:
Easy Ordering of Food and Drinks
You can now enjoy the convenience of easy ordering thru our website! Our full menu and new group meal bundles are all on our site. Just add to your cart all to your heart's content and breeze through the checkout with Debit/Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard) or GCash. We will then book a delivery service (fees care of the customer) upon confirmation to bring your orders to you. Less friction ordering, less hassle for you.
Bringing Escolta and the community closer to you
We wanted to translate the Escolta and Chinatown experience online and closer to you. Introducing the Binondo Shop where we selected our Chinatown faves for you to enjoy at home! Also, more frequent updates what's going on around the neighborhood and how is the situation on the ground.
We Miss People, Art & Culture
We are rooted in art and culture and this is vital to who we are. In the coming months, we will bring back art and design exhibitions (live online and in-store), local culture blog reporting and recommendations, and invite local creators to sell their products. As an attempt to connect further, we created a new feature - We Miss People, wherein we share our conversations with our community to everyone.
Coffee, Coffee People
With the continuing efforts to promote Philippine specialty coffee, we want you to enjoy our coffee in the comfort of your home - thru coffee subscriptions, discussions, workshops, even coffee recipe sharing!
The pandemic and the community quarantines has hit cafe's hard, most have resorted to cut barista shifts in order to keep everyone employed. We thought of a way to support our barista community by initiating the Better Home Brewing Online Project with our in-house baristas and guest baristas! These one-on-one live online sessions help you brew better at home with the equipment that you have and provide a semblance of the cafe third space interactions you miss. 95% of the fees for each session go directly to the barista. Coming Soon!
Help us recover
This pandemic has the world grinding to a halt with every small independent business hit hard. We too are affected but we still have the fire to fight. Cheer us on and support our fight. You can help us recover by buying gift cards for you, your friend, loved ones, or ask us to secretly send one to your crush! Our gift cards can be easily stored in your Apple Wallet and you can use it every time you order! A little help will come a long way.
We really hope to fast forward to the time we can enjoy each other's company in our shop. But until then, please keep safe and sane.
Always with hope, love, and compassion,
Your @TheDenManila Team <3
